CBT (Motorbike)

On Sunday I took and passed my Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) test, this lets me ride a motorbike up to 125cc on the road with learning plates and is the first step towards my full bike license. My aim is to get my full license by the end of the summer or at least within the two years that my CBT lasts for. My Grandad and parents don’t want me riding a motorbike whilst I still live at home so I didn’t tell them when I booked the course or where I was going when I went out for the day. When I got home I told my parents who were very surprised but not angry. Dad says that if I’m serious about doing it he’ll pay for me to do the advanced riding course so that I’m safe and don’t kill myself on a 600cc. At some point I will get myself all the bike gear I need to stay safe as that will give me more motivation to get on and do it. Also I can use the crash helmet on track days.
